Shelter Structures Projects

Air Force Warehouse Complex Project

When the military needs something, they usually come to the best. That is why they asked Shelter Structures for some help. A tenant command on an Air Force base was responsible for storage and disposition of millions of dollars in material. Some of these materials were decaying due to lack of suitable indoor storage space.

The Air Force required an economical solution to get the materials to a safer place while maintaining their usual flow of operations. Shelter Structures designed four identical warehouses and installed them sequentially.

As always, the shelters were engineered to Risk Category II standards to ensure protection inside. The shelters included a ventilation system, high efficiency lighting, and two 18-foot square roll up doors to enable the access of forklifts.  The shelters also include a heavy duty PVC membrane to help minimize water intrusion.
